Der Mann von der anderen Seite

Warsaw, 1943: Marek is 14 when his stepfather, Antoni, takes him down into the sewers to smuggle food into the Jewish ghetto. Antoni doesn't think much of the Jews, but they pay any price for the goods. When Marek learns of his Jewish heritage, he is initially stunned. Then he meets Mr. Jozek, who has escaped from the ghetto. Marek's mind is made up: he will help the man, hide him. But when the uprising breaks out in the ghetto, Mr. Jozek is determined to return. There is only one way back – through the sewers...
