Cinco Quartos de Laranja

Framboise returns to the small town where she was born, in the French countryside, and opens a restaurant there that quickly becomes famous, thanks to the recipes in an old notebook that belonged to her mother. This kind of diary also contains some strange notes whose deciphering will shed new light on the dramatic events that marked the protagonist's childhood in the distant days of the Nazi occupation. Framboise recalls the flavors and feelings of her childhood, in a France marked by the pain and hardship of war, and especially an episode that marked her family's life and constitutes, for her, the definitive loss of innocence. Now, in the autumn of her life, the time has come to face the difficult truth.
