Kafka in Jerusalem

This story is a literary thought experiment exploring what would have happened if Franz Kafka had fulfilled his real-life desire to move to Palestine. It follows an imagined, alternative history where a fragile Kafka successfully leaves Europe behind. He settles into the quiet, sun-drenched stone streets of Jerusalem rather than dying young in a European sanatorium.
